LESSON

Buys and Sells Products Based on Needs

Needs are basic necessities of people such as food, clothing, and

shelter. People cannot survive without them. Commented [D2]: FOCUS K NLANG DITO SA BASIC NEEDS
NG TAO..MAAGLGAY KA NG PICTURE NG FOOD,CLOTHING
AT HOUSE, TAPOS EXPLAIN MO BAKIT ITO IMPORTANTE SA
TAO..

FILIPINO TRIVIAS
Filipinos are known for making the tastiest foods
and one of the most common is adobo. Sinigang, lechon,
sisig, crispy pata, bulalo, and pancit are also Filipino
favorites.
Bahay Kubo is a primitive and traditional home
design widely seen specially in the provinces of our
country.
Barong tagalog and Filipiniana are the traditional
clothes of Filipinos. These suits are worn during special
occasions.
A food is something that can provide nutrients. Nutrients are
substances that provide: energy for activity, growth, and all functions of the
body such as breathing, digesting food, and keeping warm; materials for the
growth and repair of the body, and for keeping the immune system healthy.

A shelter can protect you from the sun, insects, wind, rain, hot or cold
temperatures and enemy observation. It can give you feeling of well-being. It
can help you maintain your will to survive.

Clothes can insulate us against cold or hot conditions, it protects our

body from direct sunlight or from chilling in the cold night. They can provide
a hygienic barrier, keeping infectious and toxic materials away from the
body.

Aside from food, clothes and shelter the diagram shows other needs of
humans.

Nowadays, education and health care are part of the human needs.
Garment and real state products are always patronized.

Wants are goods and events that people desire or wish to have. People Commented [D3]: Iksi-an mon a pla to sir..brief
lang..mahirapan bata jan sa pagbabasa ng marami..
can still live even without these products or services and events. Electronic
products and entertainment industry fall under this category. You can
acquire this thing if you already have your basic needs and if you have extra
money to spend for it.

As a learner and as a young individual it is very important for you to

know which are the things that you must have first for you to be able to
survive with decency and a good life. You have to bear in mind the sense of
responsibility and the value of thriftiness to save money for your needs and
for your future.

A product is something that is manufactured following a process, or

grown and nurtured in order to be sold for a profit. These are the things that
we buy because we need them in order to survive.

Buyer - one who buys food and other merchandises. We buy and spend
our money for us to be able to acquire our daily needs and wants.

Seller - one who sells merchandise to buyers. We sell products base on

the needs and wants of the people in the community for us to be able to earn
money and at the same time gain profit.
