4. (MAY/ MIGHT) Rewrite the following sentences using may or might depending the logic and
sense behind it. Explain the sense of your sentences.
21. It is possible that he comes tomorrow from Dubai. t might be that he comes tomorrow
from dubai. Put "might" because it's something that might happen and it's not 100% safe.
22. I buy the ticket, I win the lotto, but I didn’t buy it. If I buy the ticket, I might win the lottery,
but I don't buy it. Put "MIGHT" because it is very unlikely that you will win by buying the
ticket, but much less likely by not buying it.
23. You let the faucet open, the water leaks. You let the faucet open, it's may that the water's
going to leak. Put "may" because it is 100% possible that the water will escape by
leaving the faucet open, it is something that happens.
24. He sings depending on his attitude but he’s in a bad mood. He sings depending on his
attitude, he's may to sing badly because he's in a bad mood. If he's in a bad mood and
he sings according to his attitude, he'll most surely do it wrong. That's why I put may.
5. (FUTURE PLANS AND INTENTIONS) With the following verbs and specifications make
compound sentence using the future tenses.
Sing/ cheer (promise) I think about whether you will invite me to sing at your party; I promise
it will make me very happy and excited
Study/ win (prior plan) I will study a lot for my final exams. When I go to do them I will win
them.
Fight/ beat (threat) I dreamt I'm going to fight my heartbeat for a big fight I'm going to have
with my parents.
6. (FIRST/ SECOND CONDITIONAL) Make conditional sentences using the following sets of
verbs and specifications.
25. Tear/ wear (unlikely) If you tore my clothes, I would not be dressed for my party.
26. Leave/ drink (real) If I leave early, I won't be able to drink that delicious juice.
27. Drive/ pay (improbable) If you drove for me, I wouldn't have to pay you.
