Course objectives

• how to understand what an equating means
• the techniques needed to carry one out
• how to make choices when planning and conducting an equating
❑ so that they can continue to develop their understanding and ability in equating after

Prerequisites

You:
• high level of numeracy
• adequate level of English (ideal: B2-C1)
• knowledge and ability to calculate descriptive statistics
• practical and theoretical understanding of IRT
• familiarity with IRT software and/or other specialised statistical software
• familiarity with R
• familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Your computer:
• Winsteps (at least 4.3.0)
• R 3.5.3 or R Open 3.5.3
• R Studio Desktop (at least 1.0.153)
