Foreword
The goals and principles of standardization in the Russian Federation are established by the Federal Law of
December 27, 2002 No. 184-FZ "On technical regulation", and the rules for the application of national
standards of the Russian Federation - GOST R 1.0-2004 “Standardization in the Russian Federation.
Basic provisions "
2 INTRODUCED by the Office of Technical Regulation and Standardization of the Federal Agency
on technical regulation and metrology
3 APPROVED AND PUT INTO EFFECT by the Order of the Federal Agency for Technical
regulation and metrology of December 6, 2011 No. 708-st
4 This standard is identical to the international standard ISO 105-E03: 2010 "Materials
textile. Determination of color fastness. Part of the EOZ. Method for determination of color fastness
to the action of chlorinated water (swimming pool water) "(ISO 105-E03: 2010" Textiles - Tests
for color fastness - Part E03: Color fastness to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water) ").
In the application of this International Standard, it is recommended to use instead of the reference international
native standards corresponding to them reference national standards of the Russian Federation,
details of which are given in the appendix YES

1 area of use
This International Standard specifies requirements for a method for determining color fastness.
stylish materials of all kinds to the action of active chlorine in the concentrations used for de
water infection in swimming pools (chlorination to a minimum residual
chlorine).
Three alternative test conditions apply. Concentration is active
chlorine 50 mg / l and 100 mg / l are used when testing materials for swimwear; concentration
active chlorine 20 mg / l - for testing the materials of swimwear, such as bathrobes
and towels.

2 Normative references
This standard uses normative references to the following international
standards:

rating)

(ISO 3696: 1987, Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods)
The test sample of the material is treated with a weak solution of chlorine of a given concentration,
and then dried. The color change of the sample is assessed using a gray scale or an instrument
tally. Three different test conditions are used.

pH = (7.50 ± 0.05).
Solutions are prepared with water of the 3rd class of purification (5.7) as follows:
- solution 1: add water to a volume of 1 l to 20.0 ml of sodium hypochlorite solution (5.1);
- solution 2: 14.35 g KH, P04 (5.5) per 1 liter;
- solution 3: 20.05 g Na2HP04-2H20 (5.6) per 1 l or 40.35 g # 2HPO4-12H2O (5.6) per 1 liter.
Next, to 25.0 ml of solution 1 add a solution of potassium iodide (KI) and hydrochloric acid (HCI), and release
The poured iodine is titrated with a sodium thiosulfate solution with (Na2S20 3) = 0.1 mol / L. As an indicator
use starch.
Let the volume of sodium thiosulfate required be equal to Y ml.
To prepare a working solution pH = (7.50 ± 0.05) take:
705X)
—— ml of solution 1,
100.0 ml of solution 2,
500.0 ml of solution 3,
add water to a volume of 1 liter.
Before use, you must check the pH value of the solution using a calibrated
pH measuring instrument (4.2).
If necessary, adjust the pH by adding either sodium hydroxide solution
s (NaOH) = 0.1 mol / L. or an acetic acid solution with (CH3COOH) = 0.1 mol / l.
5.3 Aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCI). containing 50 mg of active chlorine per 1 liter. at
pH = (7.50 1 0.05).
Follow a procedure similar to that described in 5.2, but for the preparation of each liter of working
th solution at pH = (7.50 i 0.05) take ml of solution 1.

5.4 Aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCI). containing 20 mg of active chlorine per 1 liter, at
pH = (7.50 ± 0.05).
Follow a procedure similar to that described in 5.2, but for the preparation of each liter of working
th solution at pH = (7.50 ± 0.05) take ml of solution 1.

7.1 Each specimen is tested in a separate container of the machine (4.1). Immersed
Place the sample in a sodium hypochlorite solution (5.2.5.3 or 5.4) at a bath modulus of 100: 1. providing full
wetting the sample. Close the container and stir at 27 ° C ± 2 ° C in the dark for
for 1 hour.

condition at room temperature in a darkened room.
7.3 Evaluate the change in color of each sample compared to the original sample by using
gray scale soup (4.3) and / or instrumental (4.4).
