Experience –
Total of 3 years and 6 months as officer plus 1 year of internship.
i) House officer in BPKIHS in Emergency and General Opd for one year. (2007-2008)
Performing rounds under the supervision of professor and lecturer and follow the instructions given by them.
Preparing the clinical notes of the emergency patients and give appropriate instructions to the nurses and
performing emergency procedure.
Writing the admission and discharge notes as well as filling the cardex
ii) Senior Medical officer in BPKIHS in Emergency and General Opd for 3 months (2008)
iii) Medical officer in government PHC in Ilam district for 5 months as a Volunteer.
Camp Medical Officer and Camp Health In charge in AMDA PHCP for BR from 11th August 2008 to till date.
Call CPMT meeting in the capacity of CPMT chairman on a periodic basis to address various issues
raised by various staffs as well as make strategies and policies suitable at the camp level.
Represent the camp during PMT meeting, referral board meeting, supervision feedback meeting held
periodically at the base office and report to the health coordinator. Overall In charge of the Camp PHC
that runs the following activities
Daily consultation of Bhutanese patients in General OPD, injection and dressing and separate IMCI
unit.
Supervision and approval of His related data, verification of all communicable and out-break potential
cases at camp level.
Maternal and child health unit that provides ANC, PNC, delivery and other EMOC services, vaccination
and immunization, distribution of iron and folic acid as well as outreach activities by family health
promoters.
Mental health unit that consults the psychiatric patients as well as does psychosocial counselling and
physiotherapy.
Nutrition unit that runs GMP, Supplementary feeding, CMAM, Micronutrient powder distribution
programmes, supplementary cow milk as well as outreach activities by community nutrition workers.
Pharmacy and dispensary that stores the drugs and arrange the provisions for bimonthly allocation as
well as receiving and distribution of drugs prescribed by camp medical officer, various consultants,
referral hospitals and other camp HAs and CMAs.
Lab, TB & DOTS, malaria section that performs the routine blood, urine and stool examination as well
as sputum for AFB, blood film slides for malaria and distribution of ATT and antimalarials.
VCT unit for diagnosing and facilitating HIV and treatment for AIDS and outreach activities by peer
educators.
Community health unit for promotion of various preventive and curative services.
Camp admin unit for running general administration, store keeping, camp logistics management, data
reporting as well as human resource management.
Line manage all of the unit supervisors of the camp, viz Community health supervisor, Human resource
in charge, Camp pharmacy supervisor, Maternal and child health supervisor, Mental health unit
supervisor, VCT counsellor, Lab in charge and TB DOTS facilitator.
Completing the medical assessment form of various refugee patients for UNHCR resettlement unit.
Liaison and coordination with UN field office, RCU of government of Nepal, CMC and other CBOs/IPs
of UNHCR.
Conduction of various agreed surveys at camp such as CDC survey invited by UNHCR/AMDA.
Special responsibilities assigned by PHCP management like conflict management during Bel-I,
sanishare conflict, negotiation with victim’s party in RTA conflict done by the ambulance for 2 separate
accidents, facilitation of various trainings like STI, CMAM etc..
Skills
Computer skills: Handling MS office package, various MS softwares, internet browsing/surfing, and assembling and
software installation.
Language skills: English-fluent both written and spoken, Nepali-fluent both written and spoken, Hindi-fluent both
written and spoken.
Negotiation skills: Settlement of various disputes with the refugee population as well as victim’s party on 2 occasions
of accidents done by ambulances of PHCP.
Facilitation skills: Got TOT on various trainings and conducted several trainings to sub ordinates successfully.
Writing skills: Development of all tools for CMAM currently has been used by AMDA. Report of CMAM.
