Ms.

Marr's Kindergarten Classroom Management and Discipline Plan


Hi, I am Ms. Marr your child's Kindergarten teacher. I am so excited to have your child
in my class and get to see them grow as an individual throughout the year! I made this just so
you and your child know what to expect out of myself and my classroom and what is to be
expect of your child in this class. Again, I am so enthusiastic about this school year and having
your child in my class! Have an amazing day!
1) Classroom Rules
- Students will be respectful to their peers, other teachers, and myself.
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
- Come to class with all their materials (pencil, paper, erasers, glue, etc.).
- The children are not allowed to leave the classroom without permission.
- The students must be quiet and listen when I am speaking or when I give another student the floor.

2) Consequences of Breaking Rules


- Physical fights will get no warning. Parents will be contacted immediately, and the child will be written up
and sent to the principal's office.
- Small offenses will get 2 warnings then if the offense occurs again the student will either have time out
during recess or be sent to another class to do work for a brief time (15 minutes at most) depending on
what the minor offense was.
- If the misbehavior continues the student’s parent will receive a call for the behavior
- If the call does not improve the child's behavior the child will be written up and go to the principal.

3) Rewards
- Students will be rewarded when they turn in work on time, help other students/peers/teachers when
they need it, are on their best behavior, and learn something new and use it in real time.
- Rewards will depend on which of the criteria the student has met but they will either get a sticker, gets to
get something from the classroom treasure chest, or can choose a snack of their choice from our special
snack bin.
- If the WHOLE class is on their best behavior and meeting all the criteria listed above, then the whole class
will get 5 extra minutes of recess.
