Ans. Timothy has made a cane for Philip, by this he became more independent.

jumbi? What would keep this away did he think.
Ans.Timothy means that from days and days we aren’t rescued and even when
we heard the voice of aircraft but we didn’t see them which means this island
must have a curse known as jumbi which stops everything to come here. He
thought all of this is happening because of Stew Cat and if he kills him the jumbi
will die and the curse will go (to Africa) because Stew Cat is a jumbi.

4. What reasons did Timothy have for suspecting Stew Cat as the
jumbi?
Ans.Reasons:
1. When it came we got separated from everybody.
2. Philip got Blind.
3. Then, We floated to this devil’s mouth(island).

5. What explanation do you have for Phillip's temporary lack of good

judgment when he entered the water to see if the raft was still
there?

Ans. He believes in superstitious things and the things which can’t happen
