Hello Violet,

As a partner, I organized everything that we

would possibly need for IELTS self-study.
Knowing you quite well, leaving everything chaotic
will make you lose aspiration to study. That’s why I
made sure that you have enough options to choose
from and also to leave this note, giving you a clear
insight of what’s in the course. So, read, Lazy-ass.

Warming up
Before getting into serious studies, I put a
introduction course, that presents 3-5 minutes
videos of basic things you need to know about
IELTS – Exam structures, format, and how to take
the test. Although the lessons are quite short, they
cover every aspects of the test. It’s a good start
which you can sit back, have some snacks and take
general notes.

15 days of General Study
Fortunately, I happened to run into a gold mine.
A 15-day course, covering all 4 skills – reading,
writing, listening and speaking.
There are four books for each skill, Chapters
are divided for each day. Plus 2 audio CDs for
listening and speaking.
It’s basically a perfectly mapped-out course. I
guess “warming up” and “15-day course” will take
up our first month of self-study. It would be
completely convenient and incredibly worthwhile.

This is the end of non-optional session.

Where Things Gets Serious
Passing the first month, I assume we would get a
clear idea of IELTS. What’s left is to master each
subjects. There will be lots of videos and books. But
don’t worry. I made sure to keep things simple.
“IELTS Preparation and Practice: Reading and
Writing – Oxford”
This book will be our main course of study. The
reason why I chose this is, it covers Reading and
Writing generally so that we can rely on this
“Generally” if we don’t want to get detailed with
other master classes. Well, in simple put, If you are
lazy, just study this book.

“IELTS Pratice 1 to 14 – Cambridge”
I completed your folder by filling necessary files.
These books cover not only Reading and writing but
also speaking and listening. Well, you get the idea.
Listening
The only way to practice listening is to listen.
Contrary to other test, IELTS offers no second
chance in Listening. That’s why I decided to include
a master class for Listening. By the way, I might be
the best partner you can possibly ever have.

Speaking
This subject is quite big. You already know how to
speak well and have a good accent. Whereas my
accent is really shitty. So let’s simplize things first.
- accent
Well, don’t be lazy. Use youtube
- Exam format
I included a book covering IELTS speaking and also
a masterclass. Your welcome.
- Word usages
This will be a part of vocabulary section. Read on.

the test. That’s why I included a book that explains
