“NIGHT-Y LIGHT LAMPSHADE”

I. MATERIALS NEEDED
 Plastic bottles (large & medium size)  Decorative designs
 Scissors  Flat cord
 Cutter  Switch
 Brush  Bulb
 Poster paint  Male plug
 Glue gun

II. PROCEDURE
1) Cut and separate the neck and the upper portion of the large plastic bottle.
2) Remove the mouth of the bottle.
3) Paint the upper portion with poster paint or acrylic paint based on the color you
choose.
4) Then get the other plastic bottle, the medium one. Cut and separate the bottom
portion of the plastic bottle.
5) Again, paint the body portion of the bottle with poster paint or acrylic paint based on
the color you choose.
6) Get the bottom portion of the large plastic bottle to make it the base of the lampshade
and paint it based on the color you choose.
7) After you painted the bottom portion of the large bottle, make a hole as big as the
size of the body portion of the medium plastic bottle and paste it together using a
glue gun.
8) Insert the flat cord on the hole you created and put the lamp receptacle with a bulb
on it at the top of the medium bottle.
9) The put the upper portion of the large plastic bottle that you painted at the top of the
medium plastic bottle with a bulb on it. Decorate.
10)Ready for testing.

“CURVE-Y BELL LAMPSHADE”

I. MATERIALS NEEDED
 Plastic bottles (large size)  Brush
 Scissors  Poster paint
 Cutter  Glue gun
 Decorative designs  Male plug
 Flat cord  PVC pipe
 Switch  Plywood
 Bulb

II. PROCEDURE
1) Take a plastic bottle and cut and separate the neck and the upper portion of the large
plastic bottle.
2) Cut and remove the mouth of the bottle.
3) Take a piece of plastic from the remaining bottle and cut a circular piece of the size
of the bottle’s mouth.
4) Paste and seal the bottle’s mouth using glue gun.
5) Paint the section of the bottle using poster paint based on the color you wanted. Let it
dry.
6) Install the lamp socket with a bulb at the end of the PVC pipe and connect the bottle
to make a lamp head.
7) In a plywood, make a hole as big as the size of the PVC pipe. Connect it using glue
gun. Decorate.
8) Connect the wire to the switch.
9) Ready for testing.
