Lecture 1. Introduction and Course Overview

Course Objectives:
• Students will be able to identify, to handle with, to solve economic issues
within the large field of finance, to analyse and make decisions regarding
the financial operations specific to companies operating within the
marketing industry
• Acquiring the knowledge necessary for understanding the functioning of finance;
• Deepening legislative features of the Romanian financial system;
• Applying financial decisions in companies operating in the field of marketing.
• Deepening financial indicators and analysing the correlations between them.

Number of ECTS : 5
Number of hours of study per semester: 125, of which 69 hours of individual
study
Prerequisites of curriculum: Basics of Accounting and Statistics
Conditions for the seminar activities:
• Students will attend the seminar activities having previously covered the
materials related to the course activity and solved the assignments;
• In the case of failure of the exam, the student has to recover all the duties
and activities during the semester within the year attending the exam.
Course requirements:
Lectures and Readings (attendance and participation, 10%);
Two seminar tests, 30%;
Final Examination, 60%.

• Final exam:
– 60% of the final grade
– structure of final assessment:
- Multiple choice questions (20 questions x 0.45 points), time for examination: 60
minutes
• Final grade:
– Seminar (40%) + Exam (60%)

Seminar - you can get 40% at the seminar (active attendance, homeworks and two
test papers during the semester, 1st test paper –Week 8 – 12.04.2021, 2nd test paper-
Week 13- 24.05.2021)
