Note: Orgo hub is the brand name proposed for our organic beauty products. I am going to
launch organic beauty products such as organic hair oil, facial serum and facial scrub etc.
The given answers includes the implementation of the questions on organic products
launched under the name of Bata orgo hub.

Qs1. Advice a business plan on methodical approach to develop a business


strategy for the firm and the areas which the strategy plan should address?

Following are the strategies based on methodological approach:

 Be strategic about cost and budgeting: Before starting your business make sure your
self about the cost and budgeting that will be required for your business. Be sure about
what kind of budgeting will suits your business. As am going to introduce organic beauty
products so I will make sure that my costing should be up to mark and is suitable to my
level of investment.
 Outline expectations: In this we focus on highlighting the responsibilities and limits of
the shareholders and managers. As my business regarding organic beauty product is
initially will be on small scale so there will be less responsibilities.
 Verify the business context: Clearly state your business goals and values which if I talk
about orgo hub that will be to develop integrity, creativity and confidence in our target
market.
 Assess capabilities: Evaluate the key capabilities required to support your business.
There should be a difference between owners self-assessment and partners perception.
 Objectives: Make a list of objectives and how you will achieve them. Your objectives
should be specific and relevant to your core business. The objective of orgo hub is to be
more dynamic and flexible in the market.
No doubt that the cosmetic industry has flourished a lot but still they are using inorganic means.
Bata as always considered as a hub of quality has decided to introduce organic beauty products
for the customers. Instead of having re owned beauty brands we have few organic beauty brands
in the market few of them are Kishmish organic and Lepur and Mana Beauty. For this gap
analysis is very important and following are the reasons for gap analysis.
 Providing quality
 Making woman feel more confident about their skin.
 Trying to make organic beauty products more common.
 Replacing inorganic with organic as inorganic cause diseases.
The following are the steps of gap analysis that will help the firm to develop the strategies:

Current state: In this we focus on the initial level of firm the point where it is standing
presently. If we talk about orgo hub so its basically at initial point and going to be launch soon.
Although its current competitors are kishmish organic and lepur.
Where you want to go: It means that where you want to see yourself in future and how
determined are you. If I talk about orgo hub so we as a brand wanted to achieve the desired level
as our competitor has achieved in the past few years and wanted to make it more common among
our target market.
How do we get there: Make different strategies in order to achieve that mark. Identify your
competitors strategies and bring some uniqueness in your product and also work on cost
effectiveness and affordability. If we implement it on orgo hub so it should bring some changes
in its products and also work on customers affordability. Uniqueness such as money back
guarantee and free delivery and craft packaging.
Qs2. Discuss the cost advantage or differentiation advantage, distinctive
competencies, value chain and capabilities in term of competitive advantage?

Cost advantage means that business is providing same product and services as that of its
competitors but al low price and Cost differentiation means that providing same product and
services as that of competitors.
If I talk about orgo hub so its using cost advantage technique because its providing same
products as that of it competitors ( Kishmish and Lepur) but at affordable prices by keeping in
mind the customers easiness.
Distinctive competencies: This refers to uniqueness of the product or service such as in case of
orgo hub we have following distinctive competencies than our competitors.
 High quality (Fully organic)
 Fast delivery
 Money back guarantee
 Craft packaging
Value chain: It means to increase product efficiency and orgo hub mission is to satisfy
customers by providing good quality at affordable prices

Qs3. In term of the citied benefits of e-commerce ( banks, markets or other


types ), discuss how these apply to the financial service sector?

As our business will be launched nationally and internationally as it’s a B2C business so through
the following it will apply to financial service sector.
We will receive payments through online methods such as debit/credit card or cash at home
delivery. Moreover, we will launch our app for easy convenience of the customers. Marketing
will be done by using different social media means such as Instagram, facebook etc along with
our products campaign. The main purpose of this marketing will be to built long term beneficiary
mutual relationship with the customers through e-commerce.
