HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ASSIGNMENT

Submitted by- Karishma Rajput (BC160021)

I am currently in my third year of B.Com. L.L.B. (Hons.) degree and I managed to pay a visit
to a Britannia company recently situated in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) to study the functions
of an HR where I was given the task to carefully observe the functioning of an HR.

Meanwhile I was there, I observed that the mechanical transformation is an important key for
the department. This visit gave me an excellent opportunity to gain new skills, especially
when it comes to working and communicating with people from different countries and
cultures. Not only did this allow me to see first-hand how a leader of a global organisation
like Britannia behaves and communicates but it also gave me some incredible insights. Such
environments can also be more empowering. A streamlined decision-making structure, for
example, gives individual employees more responsibility and increases the likelihood of their
creative ideas seeing the light. Britannia is committed to building a gender-balanced
organisation with a focus on management.

This experience helped me to improve the confidence level and then be ready to move on to
the next level. The experience will be extremely valuable for when applying for other
positions for several reasons. By just working in the HR field itself, you get daily exposure to
reviewing job applicants and by doing this it actually has expanded y knowledge of how I
should present myself to an employer. On top of that, graduating college with experience
already under my belt in my field, it gives me an upper hand over those with no experience at
all. The experience was a very positive one in which I developed my skills further, expanded
my knowledge, and I took a step beyond the classroom and “got my feet wet” in the real
world of business.

There were so many positive take-aways from my internship experience that made it all
worth the challenge it presented at times. In my time there I was able to further tone my
communication and critical thinking skills. I expanded my knowledge of the field of Human
Resources gently. The entire experience left me walking away with a clear sense of how to
naturally act and react in a business environment effectively.
At last, I would like to thank Sir for giving me such a wonderful opportunity.
