A person who made a negative impression on you

I met yesterday at the supermarket with an old client from the time when I was working in the bank
and I remembered something he told me a long time ago, about 6-7 years ago, I think.

I don't remember now exactly what the situation was then but I had found a more creative solution to
help him with something and the boss had not agreed, although he was a loyal customer and we could
break the rules a little.

Finally, the man looks at me resignedly and asks, "Why the hell do smart people never become
bosses?"

Although it was a rhetorical question, I think I know the answer.

Smart people are idiots

Yes, for some smart people, they're pretty stupid.

Smart people do not understand that the Universe works according to a relatively simple principle:
action and reaction.

If you throw a stone at the window, the window breaks. If you are thinking about how to break the
glass, the glass does not break.

Simple, right? Well, it's amazing how many people don't get caught up in this phase.

Action is the main ingredient of success. If you do nothing, nothing happens.

Smart people think too much

Fools act, fools analyze.

If a fool wants to go from point A to point B, he takes the plow forward and he sees after that.

If a smart person wants to get from point A to point B, first make an analysis of possible routes and
unforeseen situations that may occur in the way and make his plan A, plan B and plan C, backup.

What if a wall appears in his way?

- Does it go left or right or make a hole?

- Go over or dig a tunnel underneath?

If you need to dig a tunnel, I think you should get the right tool. But what is the best tool? Iron or
wood? Is it light and small so as not to confuse it on the road or something serious, performance?

The dilemmas can go on indefinitely, you get the point.

In the end he gets bored and gives up the road.

Smart people get bored quickly

A fool has an idea once every 20 years, for example, to give free french fries every Wednesday at his
shaormeria, and he sticks to it for another 20 years.

Paradoxically or not, this is exactly how a brand is built, through consistency.

Smart people are not consistent, they are not persevering, they have a lot of ideas and they want to try
them all, they go from one to another in a short time, without giving them time to develop.

Because they have so many ideas, they can't wait to go with one to the end, at the first stumble they
say to themselves, that's it, I failed with that, I have another 400 ideas, one will work. And give up the
current idea and try another.

Smart people ask themselves "what else can I do, what other idea would be good, what else to try?"
instead of asking "what did I do and did it work to repeat?".

Smart people want to change the world

The biggest foolishness you can have.

The universe is 13 billion years old. How old are you? 18, 23, 27?

What makes you think you can change the way the universe works? What makes you think you can
change human nature?

Seriously, do you think that tens of millions of other people have tried it before many generations
before you, do you think that you are the smartest, the only one who realized that there is a problem in
the Universe and it needs to be solved?

And how do you think you can make that change?

I know, let's sit at a terrace, at a beer, and fight, talk heatedly, get ahead in controversies and debates.

Surely the Universe will see and change itself when it hears our extremely logical argument.
Smart people fight the system

Oh yes!

From the same category with the changing world is the struggle with the system. The system is bad,
the system is the same on the other side, blah blah blah…

What is the system? Well, I don't know, it's a conspiracy, it's the corporations that are putting
consumerism on our throats and they want to control us, it's the Matrix that is indoctrinating.

Huh?

Well, no one forces you to have the latest smartphone, internet access, to shop at the supermarket.

Do you find it easy to make a bow and hunt a wild boar and then beat it with a knife also made by you
from a sharp stone?

It is a forest in Romania. Hell, you can paint the trees blue and say you're in Avatar, if you want.

Matrix?

The goal is not to get out of the Matrix. Outside the Matrix it's like in the woods, you eat mud and
dress in rags.

The goal is to understand how the Matrix works and use it to your advantage. Make your life as good
as possible in the Matrix.

Smart people are socialists

This is not a surprise but rather a natural effect. Smart people do a lot of schooling and schooling
implanted socialist ideas in your head.

Ideas such as taxing too much wealth, taking from the rich and giving to the poor, etc.…

In essence, smart people want to help / save those afflicted by fate but with all their intelligence they
do not realize that they are doing the exact opposite.

If you punish efficient and productive people by taking their hard-earned money, and encouraging
people without initiative, giving them money in vain, you are simply condemning everyone equally to
poverty.

It's like dividing a single pizza into as small slices as possible, to reach everyone, instead of
stimulating people capable of producing more pizza.

If you want money and wealth, you must stop being against rich people and stop considering them
enemies.

It's like your dream is to be a footballer but you can't stand football.

Of course, success does not necessarily mean money, but a lot of things come down to money if you
think about it.
Smart people reject reality

This is also related to the previous ideas, to the fight against the system, to the attempt to change the
world for the better.

People do not accept that there is no "should be", "worth", "would deserve", etc.… but there is only IS.

Every argument I've heard from smart people contains a verb from the above:

it should not have such high profits

he doesn't deserve to have such a low salary
the state should do…
should, should, would, would, would…

The reality is as follows: the sky is blue, the grass is green.

Heaven doesn't care that you think it should be pink, because that's how a pink sky would suit you, or
because that's how you think it would be better.

The grass doesn't give a damn about your opinion, because you feel like the blade of grass is tilted to
the right, because it's better for all people.

You can have the strongest logical argument that your intelligent human mind can make, IT DOESN'T
MATTER.

The reality is different, and the reality does not change just because it does not suit you.

Accept reality and adapt instead of fighting ideologically against it! You cannot change human nature.
You can't control what other people do and think, everything "should" be different all the time. But it
won't be.

Smart people are afraid of judging others

Imagine sitting on the Buddha and quietly defecating. You close your eyes for a split second and
blink.

When you open them you are on a stage, with all the spotlights pointed at you and the world points at
you and laughs.

This is what smart people think happens when they have to display or promote their work or ideas.

I know designers who avoid for years to make a site to exhibit their work believing that they are not
good enough to show to the world.

Or people who turn down opportunities to make money because they have the wrong impression that
their services may disappoint customers, that they may not be so good at asking for money for them.
Smart people don't have the guts

If the main ingredient of success is action, audacity immediately comes in 2nd place.

Most confrontations are won with courage, not with justice or argumentative logic.

Again, this is a reality you have to accept. This is how the world we live in works.

Try a test, go to the corner store and buy a packet of cookies. Go outside, open the package, eat 3
biscuits then go back to the store nervous and ask for the money back.

I guarantee you that in 95% of cases the audacity, the high tone, the nervousness and the threats with
the Consumer Protection will bring back your money in your pocket.

This does not mean that you should be insensitive but just understand a simple thing: you do x, you get
y - you get bloated and you complain, you don't get anything.

Smart people are too fair, too modest, too shy, too sensible, too out of place - no courage, no guts, no
initiative, always looking for a warm job in the state, where you don't have to prove anything but you
have to just write on paper that you are, that you know, that etc…

Or it is capped in all kinds of low-level jobs, without stress, without responsibility, until retirement.
And they live with the impression that they deserve more, that they are superior, that they are special,
for the simple fact that they are smarter than others, without ever taking the initiative and actually
doing something.
