Return to School Persuasive Unit

Leads towards a persuasive advertisement

● Collaborative group task

Students need to select an everyday product and create a new advertisement for it.
That might be more engaging as a return to school topic, especially if they can work in
collaborative teams to plan their script, visuals etc.

If we selected this we could do a lesson on visual analysis

The submission would be a populated plan including the advertisement script and choices
(same for the group), a 30second video submission (same for the group) and an individual
reflection (similar to the statement of intention that would accompany a persuasive oral)

If we plan 3 lessons per week that should account for any lost lessons due to Melbourne Cup
Curriculum Day and Thank You Day (Grand Final Friday)
