I. Performance Objective:
Given the series of the activities presented students will be able to develop the meaning of self
love and reflect on what it means to love themselves.

IV. Procedures/Strategies/Methodology:

A. Introduction
- Mirror Activity
Students will form a line in front of a mirror and when it is their turn they
will roll a dice with phrases relating to self love and say one thing they like or
admire about themselves.

B. Development
Station 1:
- Handout separated into 4 sections “Something that makes me happy” “something that I
like to do” “Something I’m good at” “Something that makes me special”

- “Does anyone know what a self portrait is”
- Self portraits with “I like me because….” at the bottom (they use their own markers)

I.e. go noodle, just dance, T chart on a big piece of paper separated into healthy
and unhealthy where kids will put laminated foods into each category.

C. Closure
- Mirror Activity: students go back to the mirror and say a positive message or what they

D. Accommodations/Differentiation
Each child is instructed to say one thing they like about themselves, but some children might list
more than one reason.
