Familiarity & Correlation with the Lesson:
Students at SMP YPS Singkole (Sorowako, Luwu Timur) are already
familiar with printed invitation card although all the content is in Bahasa
Indonesia
Students often attend a gathering/event such as birthday party, wedding
party, iftar, etc.
Students need to learn how to make English invitation card for their own
special ocassion creatively.
CREATING HAND-MADE
INVITATION
Approach: Individual project-based learning
Objective: To create hand-made English invitation card (C6)
Learning media: Realia of invitation cards
Tools & Materials: Prepared and brought by students from home
Learning hour: 2x40 minutes
Learning sequence: 1) Deciding invitation topic, 2) Writing rough-
draft of the invitation, 3) Creating hand-made invitation card, 4)
Writing the final darft of the invitation onto the card, 4)
IDecorating invitation card with embellishment and other
decorative elements, 5) Submitting project to the teacher
