Objective (s) : 1(a)Teachers will be able to conduct the assembly and deliver their speeches in English.

1(b)Pupils will be able to listen and get familiar with event conducted fully in English.

2(a) Pupils will be able to read the information in English through WhatsApp medium
and take part in any competition/quizzes held by English Panel.

Objective (s) : 1(a)Pupils will be able to build their confidence to speak or perform in public and as a
platform for them to express their idea in terms of speech, poems or any other creative art
performances.

2(a) Pupils will be able to polish up their vocabulary and do revision as their home based
learning module.

Activity (s) : 1. Learn to Read with Phonics Sounds (Level 1) with Mr. Daniel from Pintar Ilmu Tuition
Centre (before MCO)

2. Writing Workshop (Year 6) with Mr. Daniel from Pintar Ilmu Tuition Centre (before
MCO)

Objective (s) : 1(a)Level 1 pupils will be able to learn the alphabetic principle and the relationship
between the letters of written language and the sounds of the spoken language.

1(b)Pupils will be able to read with correct sounds.

2(a)Pupils will be able to write independently and creatively.

2(b)Teach pupils how to brainstorm story ideas effectively.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Success Stories : 1. Teachers’ on duty and school administrators were eager to conduct the assembly in
English. They were able to find their own materials and text for the event. Pupils were also able to listen
attentively throughout the event.

2. Many pupils volunteered to take part in Speaker Corner and this year, they prepared
their own text and a little help from teachers in term of sentence and grammar structures. Parents get
involved in preparation of text and they helped their kids to practice at home. Less involvement from
teachers.

Challenges : 1. Time constraint.

2. English is not school community’s mother tongue and it is hard to achieve


understanding when conversing.
