Subject: GARUK STORAGE DAM, DISTRICT KHARAN.
Trespassing in Governmental Affairs
  It is submitted that as your good self is well aware that the under
construction Gurak Storage Dam is a mega project of national importance. This
dam will not only supply irrigation water to the agriculture lands of Kharan
District but also is proposed to supply drinking water to Kharan City ,After the
construction of this important dam, The socio economic condition of district
kharan’s people will be certainly raised up. The construction works at this
project are at full swing. The Honorable High Court of Balochistan is observing
the work progress of this dam on monthly basis.
It is further added that your good self is well aware that the Honorable
Chief Minister Baluchistan is also very keenly observing the whole activities of
development schemes of the province.
The local natural streams are the property of Irrigation Department,
Government of Balochistan.The additional chief secretary of Government of
Baluchistan has also been endorsed in his Notification No. P&D ROCT
(1)97/2000/257, Dated: 21-01-2020 that the irrigation department is custodian
of water reservoir and waterways. (Copy of notification is attached for your kind
perusal please.)
These streams carry some construction materials like sand and shingle
and we use these materials in our projects to economies the cost of the works.
It is submitted with concern that some locals namely Abdul Shakoor S/O
Khan Muhammad & Manzoor Ahmed S/O Muhammad Umar are creating
hurdles in procurement of constructional materials from Korh kan river. The
project management has tried to settle the issue amicably with these locals but
they are not ready to negotiate and forcefully stopped our hauling vehicles
which were being used for carrying sand from the Korh kan River to the dam
site, and one of them is government servant who is working in Health
Department District Kharan. (Copies of CNIC of concerned are attached.)
Your kind honor is requested to intervene the matter and depute a
suitable Administrative Officer to enforce the law in this regard and kindly be
stopped these people in trespassing the Government affairs please.
