With this video I intend to fulfill the proposal seminar course assignments.

here I will present my

proposal seminar from chapter 1 to chapter 3 with the title ".....".

Based on the observations that have been made in SMPN 4 Palopo then a problem can be drawn,
namely learning English in online classes. Currently, teaching and learning activities in Indonesia
must be carried out from home. This is due to the Covid-19 outbreak which is increasingly
widespread in Indonesia, Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim issued
Circular Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education in a Coronavirus
Emergency, one of which emphasizes that online learning (distance far) is done to provide a
meaningful learning experience. E-Learning is the best choice for education amid the Covid19
outbreak. Ghiardini (2011:9) stated that “E-learning can offer one effective teaching method,
such as practicing with related feedback, personalizing learning paths based on student needs,
combining collaborative activities with independent study, and using simulations and games”.
However, in Indonesia, not all students are familiar with the E-Learning system so this has
become a new thing that requires adaptation. From the researcher's teaching experience
researchers saw some of the problems faced, namely

from these problems a solution can be given using the Project Based Learning model of student
problems.

identification of problems,

- some students had difficulty learning English, especially during online classes.
- that the monotonous teaching methods or strategies used by the teacher make them less
interested in participating in learning
- .Less efficient learning strategies in online classes make students engagement is less in
the learning process so that student learning motivation decreases

Research Question

Based on the background and problem identification that has been described, the problem can be raised
for research ..., objective of the research. This research was conducted with the aim of ...

CHAPTER III
The design of the research will be conducted by using quasi-experimental design, especially
non-equivalent control group design. This method uses cluster sampling that the sample will
be chosen et al. In this method, there will be two classes, which are experimental class and
controlled class.

to determine the effect of PBL on students engagement and motivation in online

classes before and after PBL application

To obtain data to support previously collected data from the questionnaire results and
