Abstract
This article aims to conceptually discuss teaching materials based on the Discovery
Learning model in Elementary Schools. This article also aims to show that with a
number of efforts that have been made by the government to shape the character of
children/students through curriculum changes with conventional learning into
scientific learning, but the efforts made have not been able to run optimally.
Especially in teaching materials used by teachers, so that efforts are needed to
improve the learning process, one of which is to develop teaching-based materials
Discovery Learning Model. This model has a conceptually good impact to improve
learning in elementary schools. The Discovery Learning model can be used as a
model that is in line to develop integrated thematic teaching materials for elementary
school students.
