Simple
Regular
Past Simple Tense is used for past actions that
happened

Verbs
- either at a specific time, which can either
be given by a time phrase (yesterday, last year, etc.)
- or understood from the context.
Regular Verbs add -ed to the base form, or -d if the verbs ends with -e.

I play football every day. (Present simple)


I played football yesterday. (Past Simple)

Spelling rules:
 In general terms > add -ed to the base form of most verbs

 Verbs ending in constonant + y > change the y to i and add -ed
