EVACUATION ROUTE
To be prepared in this kind of disaster we should
Develop a Family Disaster Plan. Disaster can strike
quickly and without warning. It can force you to
evacuate your neighborhood or confine you to
your home. Our escape plan is either the main
door or at the back of our house. The reason that
the kitchen is the source of many fire hazards is
because the kitchen is where heat, electricity,
water, and grease come together.

They also occur when someone overheats a pan

during attended cooking if the grease
catches fire.
Grease fires can cause serious injury and
extensive property damage. Since our kitchen is
located at the back of our house. You can see that
one of our primary escape routes is along with
the kitchen. We can use the main door to run
outside. My role as “Kuya” is to check where the
fire comes from. And since I’m the only boy in
our house I will guide my mom and my sister to
safety. My mom cannot handle this kind of
situation, she gets panic immediately while my
sister, she’s not knowledgeable on what to do
when fire occurs. So, it’s my responsibility to
keep them safe
