English Advanced (Test 3): Proposal

Introduction:

The principal aim of this proposal is to outline which aspects of New Zeland International
Language College should be included in a TV programme. Moreover, It will suggest justifiably
what ideas can work best to give viewers a real feel about students daily life.

College main facilities:

Following a survey among students and members of the college committee, it has become clear
that 80% of the interviewees find “accommodation” and “extracurricular activities” (sports,
drama, music, etc.) the main topics that should be included in the documentary. At the moment,
New Zeland Language College offers not only a wide range of activities where students could
socialize but also give different types of discount and scholarship.

Students interviews:

Despite the main points mentioned above, what is most crucial is recording students interviews,
in order to give a more realistic view of what students life is like. It will show in different
situations how people from all over the world enjoy their stay at college.

Recommendations:

• The more were we to focus on students interviews, the more realistic would be the college
documentary.
• It would be highly recommended to bring about change in the common presents of the
programme in Exchange for the same college students.

Should the recommendations outlined in this proposal be carried out, the TV programme will be
a resounding success.
English Advanced (Test 1): Essay
The aim of this essay is to analyse the link between sports and business in order to draw a
comparison between the benefits and drawbacks that business gives to the sport. It goes without
saying that money has become one of the main owners of our lives, thus what extent is the
relationship between sport and business good or bad? In this essay, it will be discussed the
principal strengths and drawbacks of this economical link with an also possible conclusion.

First and foremost, it is common knowledge that the link between business and sport is
particularly rewarding for each part due to the fact that while many sports teams and sporting
events take advantage of business sponsorship these companions take advantage of the promotion
that theses sports teams or events give to their brand in the social media.

On the other hand, despite the strengths mentioned above, there are also some clear weaknesses
that leave a lot to be desired between the rewarding link between sport and business. In the last
years, it has begun a lot of problems with the exclusivity of some sporting events, which reflect
to what extent money has become the owner of sport.

Finally, the main conclusion to be drawn is the necessity of reducing the excessive dependence
between money and sport in order to achieve that sports world do not become one business more
in this capitalist world.
