LOAD CAPACITY

The following table gives the maximum load ratings for troughing idler sets and
flat, belt carrying or return idlers in our standard manufactured range; based
on a nominal bearing life of 50,000 hours, a maximum shaft deflection limit
of 10 minutes, belt speeds not exceeding 5 metres per second and standard
transom sizes for the troughing sets. It should be noted that in most cases it is
the size of the idler set transom and the shaft size between bearings, for flat
carrying or return idlers that are the limiting factors.

Heavier transoms and larger shafts, to increase load carrying capacities can
be supplied to special order and Masons will provide or check dler selection
data for specific applications, other B10 lifes and belt speeds.
