Smartphone Addiction
With the development of technology, it has improved on phones, so the number of
things we can do with phones has increased. In today's world, smartphones have
become an indispensable thing for people, and for some of us, the smartphone has
become the best friend. Application developers, who realize that, are starting to make
more applications for smartphones. Some turned into a craze. People began to spend
their hours on these applications and keep their eyes on the screen. Smartphone
applications have made people away from the stress of daily life, facilitating their
work and enabling them to socialize easily. In this way, I strongly believe that
smartphone applications lead to addiction.

Firstly, smartphones can lead people to addiction because when they are
overwhelmed by the stress of everyday life, they're looking for something to make
them forget their problems, and they can do with the phone anywhere and anytime.
People play games on the phone for that and stay away from stress for a while and
have fun. When people are having fun, the time they spend on the phone increases, and
that causes addiction. They want to have more fun. As people achieve something in the
game, they become as happy as they do in real life, and their stress decreases. They
forget about real life. Also, some people listen to music from a smartphone to get rid
of it when they encounter a problem. For example, on long bus journeys, most
passengers listen to music with headphones because they avoid the long road's stress.
As a result, smartphones can lead to addiction.

Secondly, smartphones facilitate the task for people. That gives happiness to
people and connects people to phones more. For example, students are now taking
photographs of those who write on the board instead of writing them in the classroom,
or when they need information, they immediately search the internet instead of
thinking. Getting fast information and doing tasks makes people happy. Therefore
smartphones may lead to addiction.

Furthermore, smartphones can lead people to addiction because people can feel
social using social media. People are satisfied with the likes by sharing photos and
videos on there. On the other hand, this feeling encourages people to share more
pictures and prevents living at the moment. People are wondering who has looked at
their photo and what their friends have shared, and they don't take their eyes off the
phone screen. For example, people spend hours on Instagram looking at useless posts,
but they're happy because they feel social. As a result, the smartphone can lead to
addiction.

To sum up, whether smartphones lead to addiction or not is a controversial

issue. There are different opinions on this issue. However, I believe that smartphones
lead to addiction because They made people away from stress, facilitating work, and
made feel social.
