You are on page 1of 1

1. You must have the Datacolor Instrument Drivers installed on the Host Computer.

(This is
the Computer that the instrument is attached to)
2. You must attach the Datacolor Instrument to the Host Computer before connecting to Citrix.
3. You will need to know what COM port the instrument is connect to on the Host
Computer. If the instrument is connect via USB, then you can see what Virtual COM port
was created and this will be the COM port to use on Citrix.
4. After the Instrument is connect to the Host Computer, Connect to Citrix in the normal
manner.
5. To Verify that the COM port was shared correctly on the Citrix Beta Test Server, open a
Command prompt and type the following Command:

Net Use

You will see something similar to the screen capture below:

Notice that you will see that COM1, COM3, and COM4 from my Host Computer are
redirected to the Citrix Server.

6. Now you are ready to setup the Instrument on the Citrix Server: Run Match Pigment 3.0 or
Tools 2.0.8 and go to the Configure instrument Window.
7. Add a New Instrument and configure the settings. In the example above, my instrument is
connect to COM4, so I would configure the instrument to be on COM4 in Citrix.
8. Now Calibrate the Instrument.
9. You should be ready to measure from the instrument now.

If you disconnect the instrument after it has been configured, you will probably need to logoff citrix and
the log back on to have the instrument work again. Also if you connect the instrument to the Host
Computer after it has logged into Citrix you will not get it working.
