To whom it may concern, It is a matter of great pleasure to refer Miss Tahira Nawaz as PhD Scholar.

She
came to me in 1998 as a candidate of Competitive exam (CSS). As she had already done Masters in
English Literature and was doing job in Fauji foundation school, her next plan to compete for CSS was
quite daring and a courageous move, as CSS is the prestigious exam in Pakistan. The purpose of this
exam is to recruit civil bureaucracy and demands most hardworking, courageous and audacious fellow
to go through written, psychological, interview and allied tests to prove one’s worth. Tahira with a
humble background, accepted this challenge. This acceptance speaks volumes of her strength.

During her stay in the institution, she was a focused and obedient girl. She always used to take up
challenges vivaciously. She was adventurous and disciplined at the same time. She used to contribute
actively. Occasionally she engaged with her fellow students to probe historical incidents of Indian history
and wrote detailed articles on Islam. Along with these abilities she was a wonderful poet. Her taste for
verses made her most popular. Her book ‘Suraj Ka Rasta Mein’ was published during those years. It was
a collection of beautiful poetry, creativity, poetic genius and love to display human sentiments in words.
Her plan to go for higher studies is just and pragmatic. As she qualified CSS (Central Superior Services) of
Pakistan in 2000, her in training in the civil services and later her job in the Postal Service of Pakistan
deems her a fit candidate for the same. Her record speaks volumes of her pertinacity, perseverance and
commitment.

I recommend Tahira Nawaz for the PhD in Political Science. As suggested above she is a good team
player and would make a great asset to home of learning. I wish him all the best for academic purs

Sincerely
