I am writing to apply for the Manager in Microbiologist intern position in the Translational
Genomics Research Institute. I am very interested about the intern position because it
would become the opportunity to bring my skills in communication and my skills in
investigation and knowledge about microorganisms and DNA and technology and how to
implement it. I am a senior at University Polytechnic of the Center in Biotechnology
Engineering and I studied abroad a degree in Japan for 4 years in Biomolecular
engineering.

Microorganisms’ research for the benefice for every person how needs the treatments and
ways to stop diseases is one of my interests because if with my knowledge and skills I can
help to find the way of treat it, would be one of my biggest accomplishments. The past two
years I worked and studied at the MIT at the area of biotechnology and biomedical, which
is dedicated to the area of the cells and how to produce and fixed those cells that are
damaged by certain virus or bacteria. I learned to identify which kind of cells tends to be
the first one to be damaged by the bacteria and how the bacterium attacks the cell and
how with the microorganism we can control it or analyze the type of microorganism that
will gave us the best benefit at the moment of use.

Additionally, in my role as the Analyst of Herbal medicines and Bioinformatics intern I led
our team of investigations about the different organisms that we could study and see their
benefits for humans; also I can provide a lot of different ideas and how to study them. I had
to continually check my coworker`s job to see if they were doing a good job, I know how to
treat a group of people so I would be capable to have a good relationship with the
collaborator, public and the private partners that are necessary to improve the
investigations. Besides the works that I had about biotechnology and biomedical, I am
capable to manage the information in databases and web pages. I am very excited to be a
part of the team and bring the skills that I improve through all my jobs and studies to the
Translational Genomics Research Institute
