e. Weather - Highs of 05 degrees, lows of -9 degrees. Regularly overcast


with periodic spells of heavy rain. South to North winds
year-round. Visibility up to 3km throughout.

2. Task Organisation

a. A Company - Head Quarters

b. A Company - 1 Platoon

c. Support Coy - 1 Section / Machine Gun Platoon

d. HQ Coy - 1 BFA

e. 8 Cdo Battery - 3x 105mm Light Guns

3. Ground

a. Terrain - The Falklands Islands is an archipelago in the south Atlantic,


the terrain is largely flat with large undulating hills
throughout. The area is littered with farm steads due to the
demand on Livestock being readily available. The buildings
are one to two story highs, with thin walls that could be
penetrated by 7.62 but will offer cover from fragmentation.
Stone walls due to livestock cover the entirety of the area,
offering great concealment and cover from fire.

b. Obstacles - Level 3 Barbed wire obstacles has been laid by Argentine


forces to the north of Darwin Hill

c. Cover - Legacy irrigation ditches are littered throughout the AO,


offering excellent concealment and covered approaches to
Light Infantry.

d. Observations - Several High features across the AO offer brilliant


Observations Posts (OPs) and Fire Support Positions.

SITUATION

4. Enemy Forces

a. Conscripts - The Argentine forces consists of conscript's soldiers, deemed


to be of low morale and lack professional training and
subsequentially experience.

b. Strength - Estimated to be 3 Platoon Strengths (90 men) of Darwin Hill


with a further 60 Man Garrison stationed at Goose Green.

c. Weapons - 7.62 Small arms, machine guns and hand grenades.

d. Dress - Olive Combats and helmets.

e. Mobility - Light skinned personnel carriers.

f. CBRN - Nil

g. Locations - Enemy Garrison at Goose Green with parameter forces


stationed to the North East.

5. Coalition Forces

a. Nil

a. Local Pop - Civilians have taken to remaining in their farm's steads and
reduced traveling where possible.

7. Friendly Forces

a. OC’s Mission - DESTROY the Argentine Garrison at Goose Green.
