EDUC PLANNING

Educational planning, taken from the web, is the application of rational and systematic
analysis to the process of educational development with the aim of making education
more effective and efficient in responding to the needs and goals of its students and
society.
The planning processes must be aligned across the different levels of operation in
education as part of the massive effort of the government to systematically improve the
critical institutional conditions that affect the delivery of basic education on the ground.
It also aims to ensure that other important reforms in education are implemented.
DepED as the primary agency task by the government to deliver basic educational
services, must ensure that programs, projects and activities implemented pass in a
rigorous planning process.
Before implementing any programs, projects and activities related to education, each
plan is carefully crafted to the attainment of the department’s mission, vision and goals.
To ensure that all governance levels is prioritizing the needs of their clients, which are
the learners, ladderized planning is done to identify key priority area of improvements in
line with the fulfillment of the sustainable development goals of education.
Making all of these plans to congruently agree on the measures and priorities based on
the needs of the local situation.
In the school level, School Improvement Plan (SIP) is developed which serves as a
roadmap that lays down specific interventions that a school, with the help of the
community and other stakeholders, undertakes within a period of three (3) consecutive
school years.
Aligned to the school strategic planning process, annual implementation planning
elaborates on how key improvement strategies and other significant projects will be put
into operation, monitored and evaluated.
In the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) for improving student outcomes, schools
develop a detailed plan encompassing actions, roles, responsibilities, timelines and
success criteria for the next 12 months, leading to the achievement of the four-year
goals.

Conflict is a natural and normal issue inside the workplace. It happens in every organization. For
any group of people that strives to attain its goals, conflict cannot be avoided. Although
differences usually occur, the outcome of this does not have to be negative.

Conflict may be defined as friction between individuals due to differences of opinions, ideas,
beliefs, values, needs or objectives.

Conflict begins when a person sees that another has damaged something the first person cares
about or is about to damage it. The damage or perception of attempted damage does not have
to involve a physical object; it can mean damage or a threat to ideas, values, or goals.

Conflict can provide opportunities in the positive side. It challenges school heads to think
harder, to be more creative, and to search for alternative ways that are more efficient, more
effective, and more productive. Unresolved conflict, however, can result in the breakdown of a
group. When the conflict occurs in the workplace is unaddressed, it can reduce morale, hamper
performance, and increase absenteeism. It leads to increased stress among employees,
decreased productivity, and at worst, aggression or violence. This affects the output of the work
group and can have a profound impact on organizational performance. Conflict, like any other
key business process, must be managed.

Conflict management is the practice of identifying and handling conflict in a sensible, fair and
efficient manner.
