Develop and improve the capacity of human resources

and institutions in the NAARRDN, to effectively
undertake R&D activities on agriculture, aquatic,
forestry and natural resources sectors and in support of
PCAARRD’s priority areas.

Grantees conduct their thesis
or dissertation under a DOST-
PCAARRD R&D project. Other
benefits include tuition and
other school fees, monthly
allowance, insurance, thesis or
dissertation budget, grad fees

Assistance
Provides financial support for
thesis/dissertation expense of
up to Php100,000 (PhD) or
Php50,000 (Masters) for
research that falls within the
priority areas of DOST-
PCAARRD
Re-entry Grant for
Returning Scholars
Enables newly graduated
DOST-PCAARRD scholars to
pursue an R&D project related
to their thesis/dissertation and
in support of DOST-PCAARRD
research priority areas, regional
and organizational plans.
Budget support is Php250,000
(PhD) & Php150,000 (Masters)

Promotes scientific
productivity and knowledge
sharing by rewarding
NAARRDN researchers and
scholars who published
research results in local and
international refereed
journals. Financial incentive
is from Php25,000 to
Php75,000.
Non-degree Training
Program
Strengthens the critical
competencies of research
managers, researchers, and
scholars in the conduct and
management of AANR R&D
initiatives through
strategically identified
enhancement courses.
Balik-Scientist
Program
Supports DOST’s “Balik
Scientist Program" by tapping
the ingenuity of scientists and
experts residing and working
abroad to strengthen S&T
capabilities of local
researchers and scholars in
the AANR sector.
