Food Packaging of Thermoformed PET

The above-mentioned article complies with EU regulation 10/2011 and EU regulation

1935/2004 as well as EU regulation 2023/2006 in their current versions.

The overall migration limit was determined according to EU regulation 10/2011 and is
below the threshold limit value of 10 mg/dm².

The measurements were performed according to test codes TS EN 1186-1, TS EN 1186-2, TS EN 1186-
9 , ICP-MS, ISO 18593, ISO 4832, ISO 4833-1 as well as BSN 14372 by an independent testing
institute INTERTEK. Analyses results were interpreted according to Turkish Food Codex Food Contact
Matter and Material Communique 2013/34 and Commision Regulation EU No: 10/2011.

The specific migration of styrene is below the threshold limit value of 10 mg/dm².

All products that are manifactured in our plant do not contain Bisphenol A, these substances
are not intented to use in the process nor as part of raw materials.

The requirements of the regulation 94/62 EG concerning the heavy metal concentrations
are fulfilled. We confirm that the film complies with heavy metal limit set out for the metals
Cadmium, Chromium, (Hexavelent), Mercury and Lead as amended in the EU
Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging and Packaging Waste) and that the total amount of above
mentioned metals that can be found in our film lower than 100 ppm.

1° Packaging material description

By formation of the foil recovered with melting the mixtures of PET Resin and additives (coloring
agent, silicone emulsion), the final product of pet container is obtained. We are producing the
foils in extrusion part of site, our final products in thermoforming part of site.

2° Intended food contact

Type of food: Vegetables, fruits, dry food, meat and milk products.
Handling and Storage Precautions: Store in a sprinklered warehouse. Keep temperature
prefereably below room temperature of 25 Celcius and not more than 40 Celcius. Shelf life is
2 years.

Our Pet film and final product, pet container, is suitable all types of food. Ratio of surface: % 50

3° Legal compliance

a) Europe
We use only monomers and starting substances listed in Annex IV of EU Directive 10/2011/EC (as
amended to date) and TGK 2013/34. We also confirm that the film complies with the migration and
other requirements of EC Regulation 1935/2004 (the "Framework Directive"), regulation (EC) No
10/2011 and the requirements of EC Commission Regulation 2023/2006 and TGK (Turkish Food
Codex Food Contact Matter and Material Communique).

i - Overall migration
When tested for Global Migration using the following 3 EC-recommended food simulants: 3%
acetic acid, 10% ethanol and olive oil for 10 days at 40°C (EC Directives 85/572/EEC and
82/711/EEC as amended by Directives 93/8/EEC and 97/48/EC; TS ENV 1186), the film passes the
test - the migration from the film into each simulant being less than one third of the EC limit of 10
mg/dm2 before the application of any permitted reduction factors.

ii - Specific migration
Turkish Food Codex TGK 2013/34 establish specific migration limits for two of the additives used
to produce the film, as follows:

Name of Monomer/Additive CAS N° SML*

Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) 85-68-7 0,1 % (%
w/w )
DI-ISO-nonyl phthalate (DINP) 28553-12-0 0,1 % (%
w/w )
DIISAdecyl phthalate (DINP) 26761-40-0 0,1 % (%
w/w )
DI-N-butyl phthalate (DBP) 84-74-2 0,05 % (%
w/w )
DI (ethylexyl) phthalate (DEHP) 117-81-7 0,1 % (%
w/w )

Adequate information relative to the substances which are subject to a restriction in food, obtained
by experimental data or theoretical calculation about the level of their specific migration and,
where appropriate, purity criteria in accordance with Directives 2008/60/EC, 95/45/EC
and 2008/84/EC to enable the user of these materials or articles to comply with the relevant
EU provisions or, in their absence, with national provisions applicable to food

We declare that our products don’t contain Bisphenol A, Perfluorooctane Acid or Tributyline.

We also declare that our PET film can be recyle, in most cases, mechanical recyling can
be performed.

Although the above mentioned product is intended for general food use (i.e. intended for food
contact with foodstuff of all types) it is the responsibility of the user to verify its suitability for
his own intended food application.
