Paris
Paris is the capital of European nation, France. It is also one of the most beautiful and most
famous cities in the world.
Paris is called the City of Light. It is also an international fashion centre. What stylish
women are wearing in Paris will be worn by women all over the world. Paris is also famous for
its world centre of education. For instance, it is the headquarters of UNESCO, the United
Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
The Seine River divides the city into two parts. Thirty-two bridges cross this scenic river.
The oldest and perhaps the most well-known is Pont Neuf, which was built in the sixteenth
century. Sorbonne, a famous university, is located on the left bank (south side) of the river. The
beautiful white church Sacre Coeur lies on the top of hill called Montmartre on the right bank
(north side) of the Seine.
There are many other famous places in Paris, such as the famous museum the Louvre as well
the cathedral of Notre Dame. However, the most famous landmark in this city must be the Eiffel
Tower.
Paris is named after a group of people called Parisii. They built a small village on an island in
the middle of the Seine River about two thousand years ago. This island is called lle de la Cite. It
is where Notre Dame located. Today around eight million people live in the Paris area.

Once upon a time there was a poor widow who had an only son named Jack. They were so poor that they
didn't have anything except a cow. When the cow had grown too old, his mother sent Jack to the market to sell it. On
the way to the market, Jack met a butcher who had some beautiful beans in his hand. The butcher told the boy that
the beans were of great value and persuaded the silly fad to sell the cow for the beans.
Jack brought them happily. When he told his mother about this, his mother became so angry that she threw the
beans out of the window.
When Jack woke up in the morning, he felt the sun shining into a part of his room but all the rest was quite dark
and shady.
So he jumped to the window. What did he see? The beanstalk grew up quite close past Jack's window. He opened

Once upon a time on Moor Island in Papua there lived a husband and wife named Mora and
Taribuy. The land was fertile, so the couple dd not have any problems with food.
They did not have any children and prayed to God to give them a child. God answered their
prayers and Taribuy was pregnant. Nine months later, a baby boy named Reio was born. They were very
happy and took care of Reio with love. Reio grew up as a good kid. He always helped his parents.
One day, Mora fell sick and and Taribuy was really worried. She took care of her husband and
asked her son to pick certain leaves to make traditional medicine, but it did ot work. Mora was getting
weaker and said to his wife and son that if he died, he asked them to bury him in the front yard and
maintan his grave every day. When a tree grew in the graveyard, they had to care of the tree.
Finally, Mora died. Reio and his mother were very sad and they did as Mora requested. They
buried him in the front yard. A strange tree grew in the graveyard. They had never seen such a tree before.
The fruit was hard and when they peeled the skin, they found a harder fruit inside. They broke it and
found sweet water and they also found the meat of the fruit was delicious. They loved the tree.
They named the tree Nera.It means the head of Mora. The tree grew well and now the tree is
known as a coconut tree.

A poor boy was offering goods from door to door when he felt hungry, he didn’t have enough

the sand. Then, we got back on the bus. Next, we went to steelworks. We sat on a hill and observed the
plants around the industrial area. We just saw bushes and grass. There were not many plants growing
because of the pollution.
We got back on the bus and went to the rainforest. We got off the bu sand ate our lunch in the
clearing area. We observed many different types of plants and trees in the forest, such as wattle trees, thin
trees, and rock plants. The situation here was very different from those, which we had just visited before.
After that, we got back to school. We arrived at school at 12 o’clock. Then, we went into our
classroom and talk about our today’s environment. This learning activity of my school was great! We had
great fun.
