Tips for Good Bios:

Tailor it to the audience.


Do not describe yourself with a dozen different traits.
Put the important facts first, assume that only few people will read it to the very end!
The shorter the bio, the more people will read it!
Use an appealing header for the bio.
Give people a sense of why you do what you do.
Now that you’ve got one draft down, it’ll be easy to rework every time you need it.
The person requesting your bio will also require a certain length (two sentences, two
paragraphs, or 200 words). Make sure you respect the limit.

Format (you can change it and tweak it as you see fit):

[Name] is a [title] who works with [who you help] to [how you help them].

[First name] [knows/believes/has passion for] [what you know/believe about the work you do].

[First name] has [landed/secured/garnered/worked at/supported] [insert your most compelling


experiences and wins].

[First name] holds a [insert degree] in [insert area of study] from [insert university]. [First
name] is a [trained/certified/awarded] [insert relevant awards, honors, etc].
