Changes in the environment as a result of climate change

Good day everyone! I am here in front of you to give my knowledge about

changes in the environment as a result of climate change. First, we need to know
what is the reason behind the changes in the environment as a result of climate
change? Changes in environment is a change or disturbance of the environment
most often caused by human influences and natural ecological processes.
Environmental changes include various factors, such as natural disasters, human
interferences, or animal interaction.

Let us know what climate change is, the most general definition of climate
change is a change in the statistical properties of the climate system when
considered over long period of time (en.m.wikipedia.org/w). Climate change is a
long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come
to define Earth's local, regional and global climates. These human-produced
temperature increases are commonly referred to as global warming. Climate
change also increases the appearance of more violent weather phenomena,
drought, fires, the death of animal and plant species, flooding from rivers and
lakes, the creation of climate refugees and destruction of the food chain and
economic resources, especially in developing countries. Climate change refers to
the change in the environmental conditions of the earth. This happens due to many
internal and external factors. The climatic change has become a global concern over
the last few decades. Besides, these climatic changes affect life on the earth in
various ways. These climatic changes are having various impacts on
the ecosystem and ecology. Due to these changes, several species of plants and
animals have gone extinct. Let us know when did the climate change starts, the
climate change started changing a long time ago due to human activities, but we
came to know about it in the last century. During the last century, we started noticing
the climatic change and its effect on human life.
The researchers started researching on climate change and came to know
that the earth temperature is rising due to a phenomenon called the greenhouse
effect.(Prannasa,2020) The warming up of earth surface causes many ozone
depletion, affect our agriculture, water supply, transportation, and several other
problems. Theirs a different reason why we have a climate change, Although
there are hundreds of reason for the climatic change we are only going to discuss
the natural and manmade (human) reasons, first is Natural Reasons, These
include volcanic eruption, solar radiation, tectonic plate movement, orbital
variations. Due to these activities, the geographical condition of an area become
quite harmful for life to survive. Also, these activities raise the temperature of the
earth causing an imbalance in nature. Second is Human Reasons, Man due to his
need and greed has done many activities that not only harm the environment but
himself too. Many plant and animal species go extinct due to human activity.
Human activities that harm the climate include deforestation, using fossil
fuel, industrial waste, a different type of pollution and many more. All these things
damage the climate and ecosystem very badly. And many species of animals and
birds got extinct or on a verge of extinction due to hunting. Climate change is
already having a negative impact on the lives of people around the world.
(Bevan,2018) A failure to act urgently will mean a reverse in development gains
for the poorest and most vulnerable people in society, an erosion of biodiversity,
increasing difficulties in providing food and shelter, as well as the potential loss of
entire countries due to the impacts of climate change.

Theirs a positive and negative effect of climate change, first let’s know
what the positive effects are, some animals and plants could benefit and flourish
in a changing climate, energy consumption decreasing due to a warmer climate,
longer growing season leading to a higher yield in current farming areas, and
new tourist destinations becoming available. The negative effects are extinction
of certain species due to shifting temperature regimes, spreading of diseases
such as malaria and changing patterns of agriculture and crop yields.
Environmental changes have to do with changes caused by the variation in the
occurrences of some climatic factors; rainfall, temperature, light wind: biotic
factors; predators, parasites, soil micro-organism, pest and diseases: and
edaphic factors; soil pH, soil texture, soil structure etc. when environmental
changes occur as a result of the actions of man and other natural phenomena,
lives and properties are adversely affected.( Nwankwoala,2015)
