ASSIGNMENT 3- TOTAL MARKS: 10
15th June,2021
Dear Sir,
I am writing to report flood damage that occurred in Lahore. During the overnight hours, a
fierce storm swept through the whole city. It covered every thing in the city and causes a lot of damage.
These torrential downpours flooded ruined our carpeting, structure and some of the buildings.
The people are in great misery. Their condition is pitiable. They have lost everything. Signs of fear and
anxiety are writ large on the faces of the flood-affected people. The city welfare society has jumped into
the field. Some people have come forward to help the needy with cash or kind. Still much remains to be
done.
We should take immediate steps to rescue peoples and pump out the water from the roads to
resume the traffic. We must look forward to beat the flood next time. We should enlarge the rivers and
plants more trees. So next time we will be prepared.
Yours Faithfully,
Ali Ahmad
Additional Secretary
