Resources Generated Relative to Covid-19 Situation

With the closure of schools last year due to covid-19 pandemic, many were affected, oparations stopped
to focus more on the safety of the health of one other.

At the height of the lockdown last year many activities were halted such as the construction of the new
building and a new clinic. But the education of our youth cannot be stopped, so our school made great
preparations for the opening of the class in October last year.

Our school, complied with everything set by the AITF and the government and fully implemented it
through various methods such as simply placing signages and foot marks for social distancing.

The school also received donations especially equipment that will help keep everyone safe at the
opening of the classes with the help of different stakeholders as well.

There is also a weekly disinfection to ensure the cleanliness and safety of people who go to school.

(Slide 6)

And because studying for our pupils is on Distance Modular Learning, some have also donated items
that could help them learning such as cellphone loads, tablets and bond papers for our teachers.

The beginning of the class opening last year was very difficult because of the situation we are facing. But
because of accepting the new challenges in the education system, we have surpassed it from properly
sharing information using also modern methods.

Real change often takes place in deep crises, and this moment holds the possibility that we won’t return
to the status quo when things return to “normal”. As a result, the attitude of “Bayanihan” and mutual
cooperation emerged.

Plentiful supports poured from the local government of Muntinlupa, Barangay Putatan and various
private sectors.

Outpouring of bayanihan efforts from different private sectors were seen in different ways.

During the peak of Covid-19 last year, several construction workers were lockdown inside the school,
and they did not expect that it will last long. Nobody was prepared, especially them. Day came when
they had nothing to eat because they couldn’t get out and there was no food to buy and the only left in
school is the vegetables that was planted in our “Gulayan sa Paaralan” garden.

Luckily after the ECQ has lifted, teachers and staff of the school can now go back to do their duties even
in an irregular schedule to continue their works like replanting for continuous school program for our
school and our learners.
