    Tecnhology and Covid 19 education in our country

    We are facing a pandemic crisis all over the world. Closed schools ,lockdowns, home
    isolations. Nearly 77 million children are away from their classrooms having online lessons
    from their homes. The last 18 months during this covid 19 crisis has cost children 1,826,
    402,916,679 hours of education.

    Everything started on March the 10th when the first case of Covid 19 infected person
    arrived in our country. Two days later the schools were closed so we ended the school year
    2019/2020 at home .During that time we communicated with our teacher on internet
    having no normal lessons at all and finished our school year at home. The final years I mean
    nine graders and secondary schools students in the 4th year didn’t celebrate their half proms
    and proms. Never happened in the history of education so far.

    The next 2020/2021 school year started online through a strange platform that wasn’t
    working properly because of old technology in schools and our homes. That kind of online
    education was a real nightmare equally for the teachers and the students. This process of
    learning was devastating for some schoolchildren .Only 1/3 of the children all over the world
    could attend the remote learning during the school closures .The other 2/3 were facing a
    real problem in their educational process due to a lack of technology support like computers
    and internet.

    Another big problem was that the school closures have led to reduced physical activity and
    poorer diets, increased levels of anxiety and self-harm, social differences and exposure to
    domestic violence. Some of the parents lost their jobs and their salaries because they had to
    stay at home and take care of their children. This school year started “normally” but there
    are still problems. Every day we have Covid 19 infections among the students and teachers
    in schools. The World Health Organization says that there is no Covid 19 transmissions in
    schools but that is not true. The Ministry of Health is announcing the 4 th wave this autumn
    and even the 5th dangerous one in the spring months. We are all tired of wearing masks
    during the school hours in the classroom

    These school closures will affect the students’ lives , their home budgets and the world
    economy itself for a long time in the future. We all miss the normal school lessons , our
    friends and education before this pandemic crisis. So I hope it will finish very soon so we can
    all continue our normal lives and activities.
