Part 1
I live in Quang Tri.
I'm a student.
I'm studying law. I recently finished my first year of college.
Candidate A, do you enjoy studying English?
Yes, I do. I like being able to speak to other people in English and reading English
books.
Candidate B, what did you do last weekend?
I went to the cinema with my friends. We often meet in the evening.
Candidate A, what are you going to do next weekend?
I'm going to play basketball. I haven't played basketball in a long time and am
ready to get back into it.
Candidate B, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to keep fit. I go to the gym a few times every week. I also enjoy hanging out
and watching TV.
Part 2
- In this photograph I can see two people and they are riding bicycles. There’s
a young girl, she’s on the left. She looks about ten years old. She's wearing a lovely
dress. Next to her, on the right is an older lady. I think it could be her grandmother.
This lady is wearing jeans and a white shirt. They're in a park and there are trees
in the background . Maybe it's summer because they're both wearing sunglasses.
They're both smiling and they look very happy. It's a nice family photograph .

- My photograph has five children in it. I think they're in a school gym or dance
room. Somewhere children can do exercise. There are three girls in the front and
two boys are at the back. They're all wearing shorts and T-shirts, which are
different colours. Most of them are looking at the camera and are smiling. I don't
know if they're dancing. They're standing on one leg, doing something that looks a
bit difficult. Maybe they're exercising, but they're enjoying it.

- OK, I think they're interesting presents but some are more expensive. Do you
agree?
- Yes ... the washing machine costs a lot of money and I don't think it's a good
present really.
- Yes, I agree. I think if you need a washing machine you choose one yourself. The
money would be a good idea. Her friend could buy something she needed.
- Yes, money is a good thing to give her but do you think she would prefer a
present more than money? What about the clock? It looks like one you can put on
the kitchen wall. It could be useful.
- That's a good idea. I think the microwave and the television are too expensive.
Shall we forget about them? There are also the towels and the cushions. What do
you think about them?
- The towels are a good idea but the person might not like the cushions. They
might be the wrong colour or pattern. So, I think the towels or the clock. I would
prefer the clock. Shall we decide to buy that?
- Yes. I agree with you.
Part 4
- Candidate A, do you enjoy going to parties?
- Yes, I do. I enjoy talking and being with my friends. We always have a good
time. And what about you, Candidate 8?
- Yes, I do too. I have lots of parties with my friends. We sometimes have one at
the weekend when we finish our studies.
- Do you prefer to dance at parties or talk with people?
- I like to do both things. We usually talk a lot at the beginning of the party but
then we like to dance when we feel relaxed.
- And how about you, Candidate A?
- I'm not very good at dancing so I usually sit with my friends and talk. When we
know a song that's playing, we all sing as well.
- What makes a good party, Candidate B?
- I think the people are important. It's a good idea to invite people who are friends
or who like each other. When you do this the guests are happy.
- And what about you, Candidate A?
- Yes, I agree. The people are important. I also think ifs good to have lots of food
because people are always hungry.

Part 2
- This photo shows two people in a kitchen. It looks like a kitchen in someone·s
house, not one you see in a restaurant. There's a man and a woman preparing
food. They look middle-aged and they might be a husband and wife. They are both
wearing something to protect their clothes. I don’t know the word for this, but
everyone has one hanging in the kitchen and you put it on when you prepare food .
It looks like the woman is getting the vegetables ready and the man is cutting
something up, it looks like meat. I think they are making the evening meal and they
both look very happy.
- There are more than three people in this photo but there are three together at the
front. They look like three friends who are out shopping. There is another person
in the background, but I don't know if he is with them or not. The girl on the left is
wearing a long top and dark trousers, the man in the middle is wearing a jacket
and a jumper and the girl on the right is wearing a scarf round her neck, a dark top,
jeans and a long dark cardigan. They're all carrying shopping bags. One of the girls
is pointing to something, it might be something in a shop window, and the other
two are looking in the same direction.
