 Watching this film make me feel jealous of the gift Mary had, I really admire her
skills hoping I should have this kind of gift but through her life experience, I felt sympathy
she through in suffering adjusting herself in the environment. The engaging scene of the
film when she solves the given equation by a mathematician to prove her intelligence,
this part of the film catch the amusement of the viewer it is emphasis the gifted ability of
the child.

However, even it was an amusing movie I might not watch this film again the
story twisting of the film is lack twist in a climax, although it has climax I was expecting
they will face more difficult because of the family situation. Therefore, if I have the
second viewing of this film I will focus on the line of the character every line in the film it
has a logical lesson that can apply in your life.

This film is a drama genre and it is a Cinematic convention because it was a

direct and storytelling process of a film. The film is artistic and technical achieved the
screenplay, cinematography, acting, editing, special effects, soundtrack it’s all
excellence especially for the chosen location and soundtrack of the scene are the
excellence it matches the scenery of the film and the emotion of the actors. The casting
of the film for the chosen actor for the character is excellence they are really award-
winning actors because the way they handle their role is very natural for them. But the
character who stood out is Mary as Mckenna Grace because her acting style at a young
age is very natural and her character suits her personality

Therefore, I can say their strength of the film is their cinematography and
screenplay, the motion of the picture enhance the scene of the actors and the chosen
character is perfect for the film their acting skills and the scene direction impress the
viewers. . I can’t see any weakness making this film I will just highly suggest having
some twist in the climax to make more exciting and to be touch for the story,

However, the original story was an adaptation from the book of Nikita Lalwani it is
her first long listed book in the Man Booker Prize and shortlisted for the Costa First
Novel Award. Then originated book is twisted to film some part of the book been change
especially the role of the characters but it is opposite to the film but somehow it suits to
the film it helps to enhance the story. The filming began in October 2015 in Savannah,
Georgia, as well as in Tybee Island, Georgia it is finished on November 20, 2015, and
been released on April 7, 2017.

This film was very popular to be part of box office film and reach the $24,801,212
caught out money against their production budget of $7 million and been in rank 16 in 56
theatres and rank 96 in the box office. Also, they have been nominated as Critics' Choice
Movie Award for Best Young Performer, Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards, Online
Film & Television Association, Image Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and Teen Choice
Award for Choice Movie: Drama and win the award of NAACP Image Award for
Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture and for Best Young Actress led by Mckenna
Grace and Choice Movie Actor: Drama for Chris Evans and for Outstanding Actress in a
Motion Picture for Octavia Spencer. Moreover, the movie was so popular film to be a
series in television indifferent country like in British drama television film, in, Filipino film,
in American TV and in Thai TV series by GMM TV.

The narrative turning point comes in when the scene views the motive of the
actors and action. The major section of the film balances it didn’t ruin the narrative point
of the film. However, the film featured dual protagonist they are an active character who
want freedom for the child. Their goal is to let the child experience like a normal kid
despise from her gift. The worldview represents the protagonist as a gifted prodigy child
and to her uncle Frank as a guardian who wants to protect the child against her mother.

The other character is Bonnie as a teacher of Mary and Roberta Tylor as a friend
and baby sitter of Mary they are the supporting character of the protagonist as an
advisor to Frank for what he should do. But among all the character of the film my
favourite is Mary it is because I love her personality and gift but the character I want to
imitate is Frank because his love and care of Mary is limitless even Mary is too much for
him to handle he is still willing to fight the custody of Mary against her mother.

At the same time, the protagonist encounters a problem when Frank defeated for
the custody of Mary and the child been sent away to foster parents. However, The
resolution of the film is close ended the problems of the protagonist has been resolve
because her grandmother let Frank have the custody of Mary she believes Frank will
raise Mary better than her.
 Every view of the camera in the scenes trying to implicate is the relationship of a
mother and son at first you may think it is about the gift of the child and bond connection
with her uncle but it is really about the conflicted relationship of a mother to her children.

However, the settings of the film has big contributes to keep the story to be
smooth, in every place they took the scene it's felt warmth to the eyes of the viewer to
focus on the main plot of the story the sets and props doesn’t’ drove the attention of the
viewer to the main point of the story.

Also, the editing style of the films is standard cut they put the film together it is
helping the scene to have connections from the last frame until to the beginning frame,
and they also use the fade in/out cut style it helps to give transition in the scene to have
a new scenario. The editing style help’s to express the action of the story it gives in the
viewer to have an impression of the flow of the story. The soundtrack effect they use in
the film is orchestral music it helps to enhance the beauty in the scenery it gives
reflection to the scene of what certain event is happening it helps the acting of the
character to deliver their emotion to the viewers it makes.

The title of this film immediately give an idea what is the film really about from the
word "Gifted" first come in your mind it has gifted talent of the child but it doesn't give the
main plot of the story but still it makes the viewer feel that they know already the story
because from its title they will discourage to watch the film not even viewing it but
somehow the title suite with the story.

The theme of this film is talking about morality they show to the scenario about
the right and wrong decision they make it’s really clear the content delivering of the
message of the film is about family. It also explores in a fresh way they maintain the
morality of the movie from the realistic situation of a family problem and its kind unique
to have a family conflict because the intelligence they have in the family there are many
films about and family conflict, but they make a story looks like can also be realistic.

The wrong implication of the movie they did not show the ending clearly what
Evelyn did in the formula of Diane if she publishes it or not it in the scene Frank will wait
for her mother decision but it doesn't state it’s her decision they only present that the life
of Mary has changed. The error in the films is their plot when is Evelyn Adler is capable
of defending a completed proof for Navier-Stokes, she would have easily recognized the
problems with the problem that Doctor Shankland placed on the board for Mary to solve
it but the audience those not notice it because it covers the amusement of Mary gift
when she starts to solve.

The film is sensitive to the tension of life because it surrounds the whole story
about the essences of the family and mother care to her children. Also, the film was a
dilemma the character of the story reach to the climax of the plot that he needs to out a
decision it been the tension of life because it surrounds the whole story about the fight of
mother and son. This film will inspire the viewers about the responsibility as a parent to
their children, they will learn how they should raise up their children and know the
importance of living experience as a normal being even you are special among the
others.
