Objective: Identify the jobs in your family.

Objective: recognize the importance of every kind of job.

People who live in our community have different jobs. These jobs
allow us to have access to different products and services to satisfy
our needs. That is why, all jobs are equally important to our
community.

1. Look at Daniela's grandmother and comment.

1. Describe what Daniela's grandmother did during the day.

3. Why are these people's jobs important?

Jobs in the community

Circle the jobs people have in this neighborhood.

Most jobs are paid, where people receive money for them.
There are also unpaid jobs, where people do not receive money for
them.
Some examples of unpaid jobs are household chores and volunteer
work.

Objective: identify products of your community.

We require different products to satisfy our needs. Different


workers in our location or region make or extract these products.

Institutions in my community

Objective: recognize the role of institutions in the community.

Institutions provide a service to the community or help in case of


emergency. Some institutions are:

1. Circle the police station in green.


2. Circle the fire station in red.
3. Circle the hospital in blue

Objective: recognize the institutions you have to contact in


specific situations.

When should you ask for help from institutions? It is very


important that you only call these institutions in case of emergency,
If you do not, you can use the turn of someone who really needs the
help.

1. In which institution do the following people work? Write the

Hospital.
