Endless Sidewall Belt for Coal Feeder
Tritek Cleat and Sidewall Belt
Common problems in coal feeder are when coal feeder having lost speed signal which indicates
belt broke, but commonly found belt not broke, hence the proximity become the
spot of root cause problem.
Often found at the bottom side of coal feeder a lot of coal spill that resulted of
proximity problem.

What are the causes of the spill of coal stacking at tail pulley coal feeder so that proximity speed sensor is interrupted?

The damaged sidewall caused the coal to be spilled from the side of the belt massively, when the chain scrapper is unable
to handle the massive volume of spills, the chain scrapper will be stuck and indicate overload, even a few cases found
damage occurred in bearing scrapper and gearbox/motor.

Sidewall can be damage (apart) due to the bonding was not good when the process of
manufacturer or due to miss selection of the belt type and it could also be caused by
overload work and aging
GOOD NOT GOOD
A common method when it’s found overload work belt is to accelerate the speed of
conveyor and or decrease the inlet damper so that the load was distributed evenly on the belt and becomes lighter. If in
the operation process found that sidewall damage (apart) immediately repairs on the broken sidewall.

Bonding sidewall-belt

There are 2 method for sidewall belt coal feeder bonding: hot press (known as hot splice or vulcanizing) and cold join.
Even though the hot press method has higher production cost than cold join, it’s doesn’t mean hot join is better than cold
join, all is depending on usage and workload. When the work load of belt coal feeder indeed operated should be high,
hence found bonding of sidewall belt apart (not torn), although it rarely occurs, then the choice of hot press became the
best alternative.

Damage of Sidewall were influenced by rubber elasticity which linier with its hardness
(Shore A), also the selection of pulley diameter will affect the tensile force received by
the sidewall when passing through the outer side of pulley (pulley out radian), the smaller
the pulley radian, the higher the tensile force received. Sidewall height above 5 cm must
use fabric ply to withstand tensile force along pulley radian.

Made from premium grade rubber designed, specifically for rubber lagging with unique properties to
eliminate slippage, increase pulley life (less tension required), improve water shedding and boots
productivity. Using opened design dissipates dirt, water and material build up. With bonding layer it
can be installed or replaced without removing conveyor belt or pulley with fast cold vulcanization
process, hence reduce Mean Time To Repair, reduce Maintenance Cost and dramatically decreasing

Ceramic Rubber Lagging
Diamond Ceramic Lagging is a kind of Lagging strip. It is combined by rubber and ceramic. It has
characteristics for anti-slip and ant abrasion, especially on the wet area, muddy and dry area. It's
mostly used on Tail Pulley and Snap Pulley.
Diamond Ceramic Lagging is identical by Diamond motif and added by piece of ceramic, which is
consist of 92% alumina inside. And thousands of profiles are like small dots, which can increase the
strength of grip on surface belt. So that, it can be proved the strength of that anti slip. This is the
superiority of Diamond Ceramic Lagging type, beside that element value.
For making it easy to assemble or use on workshop, we design the Diamond Ceramic Lagging by
combine with rubber on back side. The Backing Rubber makes it so easy in bonding step and can be
done by Cold Bonding process. By this concept which has long strip shape, it can make easy to
assembling on site or workshop, without we have to overhaul the pulley from fabrication.

Full Ceramic Rubber Lagging
Tritek Full Ceramic Lagging Without Bonding Layer and With Bonding Layer
It is a special type of Rubber Lagging strip, which has superiority
perfectly. This Full Ceramic Lagging type be able to overcome
anti slip problem, which usually happens on site, such as on
wet, muddy and dry area.
The structure is visible clearly that is strongest and hundreds
of ceramic pieces, which is consist of 92% alumina inside. It
can be proved for abrasion resistant and has thousands of
small dots profile.
So, the anti slip can throw out the sands and water from the
surface belt.
For making it easy to assemble or use on site, we design the
Diamond Ceramic Lagging by combine with rubber on back
side. The Backing Rubber makes it so easy in bonding step and
can be done by Cold Bonding process.

Ceramic Liner
Ceramic Lining gives the right solution and perfect condition to
overcome the extreme abrasion, which is caused by the level of
abrasion from high-speed impact and high-strong impact. It can be
used in lining, such as on Hydro Cyclones, Hopper, Chute, Tailing,
etc.
Made by pieces of ceramic, which is arranged in good performance
which sticks on the special rubber sheet, with two kinds of
bonding layer, so the combination is not easily separated. The
ceramic is designed specially, consist of 92% alumina inside, which
is proved that level of abrasion resistant. We design 3 kinds of
ceramic shape such as Square, Rectangle and Hexagonal.

2 type Ceramic Liner following bonding type:
1. CN Bonding System
The ceramic laid in semi-finished rubber, with 1.0-1.5 mm thickness, which is be the base
method in bonding, so it easy to install by Cold Bonding process.

2. Plate Bonding System

The ceramic laid in ST 400 in plate with 3 mm thickness, whereas the way to assemble by
tighten it with welding or bolt

Tritek NR40, NR5O, NR60 Without Bonding Layer And With Bonding Layer
Made from 95% Natural Rubber Compound and available in many colors (Red,
Orange, Black). Significant choice for slurry handling applications such as
chemical pipelines, chutes and tank linings, hydro cyclones, floatation cells
and launders. Also used in lining of valve and pumps, excavator and elevator
buckets, timing belt. Excellent for lining sandblasting room, reduce impact and

IMPACT BAR for CONVEYOR LOADING POINT
Impact bar is used in the loading area of the conveyor to replace the traditional cushion rollers. It’s
designed to absorb impact loading which will dramatically reduce shock and stress loading to the
structure.

Features:
1. Avoids the damage to the belt through the contact between the bar and surface of belt.
2. Evenly distributed loads in the loading bay will extend belt life.
3. Effectively eliminate the spillage or scattering of the material caused by inequality of the stress
on the belt.
4. The UHMW Polyethylene surface has outstanding sliding properties.
