Narrative Report on Brigada Eskwela

S.Y. 2018-2019

The school is an institution which plays a big role in molding the learners into a responsible citizen
in the society. This is a place where one is taught and crafted into a better person, who will be the symbol of
the kind of learning centre where he/she was raised. The diverse concern of school demands working with
others to accomplish designed tasks and objectives. These would need dedicated and hardworking school
personnel, cooperative parents, accountable community and innovative learners.

Educators believe that environment plays a gigantic part in students learning. And so, if classrooms
are not conducive to learning because of poor condition and some defective school facilities, education is
hampered. The Department of Education conducted this year’s Brigada Eskwela, also known as the National
School’s Maintenance Week on May 28, 2018 – June 2, 2018 where all education stakeholders contributed
there time, effort and resources in ensuring that the school facilities are ready in time for the school opening
on June 4, 2018. So instead of enjoying the vacation, teachers, students and other stakeholders have come to
school fuelled by the spirit of volunteerism and unity, fix whatever is there to fix, clean whatever is there to
clean in the school for the beloved school clientele to be comfortable and inspired in another school year of
learning.

The Brigada Eskwela was opened by a small Kick-off Ceremony where all teachers from the three
(3) districts of Sindangan were gathered at Sindangan Pilot Demonstration School on May 27, 2018. Then, a
short program followed to welcome and inspire the participants of Brigada Eskwela on the early Monday
morning, May 28, 2018. Despite the scorching heat of the sun, Lapero National High School was never
disappointed, because volunteers came daily especially the 4P’s beneficiaries who spare their time to
support this Brigada Eskwela. Everyday, there were accomplishments and that was a great relief for all the
school personnel to see the school getting ready for June 4, 2018. The Brigada Eskwela ended on June 2,
2018.
After a long week preparation, the school was set ready for another school year. But surely, there’s
something more, teachers have to get themselves to fire up and inspire another batch of students after
Brigada Eskwela.

With this, the administrators, teachers, students, PTA Officers and other stakeholders of Lapero
National High School would like to convey a heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers on their share of sweat
and efforts to make the school ready for school year 2018-2019. Godbless Lapero National High School.
Hoping next year the spirit of volunteerism and unity will rise up again among teachers, students, parents
and stakeholders for another Brigada Eskwela.
