The first batch graduate of BSED program of NIPSC Ajuy was higher by 83.33% in the
2014 national passing percentage. In 2015 LET examination, NIPSC BSED passers was 66.67
% higher than the national passing percentage. 2016 LET result showed that LET performance
of BSED was 60% higher than the national passing percentage. BSED LET performance in
2017 was 64.71% higher than the national percentage and in the 2018 LET examination, BSED
was 51.92% higher than the national passing percentage. Attendance in the review classes,
self-determination, good study habits, and rigid training and teaching of the instructors and
professors were among the few factors in obtaining higher percentage of passers than the
national passing percentage. Taking the board exam 2 or more years after graduation without
attending review classes, not feeling well or sick during the exam and peer pressure were some
reasons of failing LET exam and the causes of the decrease in the LET performance.
The following conclusions were drawn from the findings of the study. Compulsory
attendance in review classes, good study habits, strong determination to pass the LET and rigid
training from the college are very significant in passing the examination. Taking examination
because of peer pressures and have not attended a review class should be taken into
considerations.
1. NIPSC Ajuy Teacher Education Department should strictly implement the admission
and retention policy.
3. Review classes should be incorporated in the curriculum and should start intensively
from the third year.
