REQUEST BY AN ORPHAN HARRASSED BY GOVT OFFICER
I write to state following few lines for your kind consideration and favorable action.
My father left me orphan a long ago and my mother entered into second marriage. The
happening burdened my shoulders heavily as the hope of being well educated got
demolished and illiteracy became my fortune. Laboring became indispensable for looking
after my three younger orphan sisters and one brother. I do not own even a single inch of
agricultural land in the entire universe with the exception of a tiny house which my mother
got built. During a recent period of time, an appalling harassment by a Government
Officer has attacked to rob our tiny morsels and to make starvation our fate.
Sub Divisional Canal Officer Riaz Hussain (CNIC No 32103-5555056-1, Contact No
0303-8176176), Sub Division Kot Samaba (RYK) Irrigation Department Punjab, has
lodged a fake FIR (228/21) for water theft against me, an orphan who does not own
agricultural land to be irrigated, in Police Station Kot Samaba (RYK) on 17 May, 2021.
The fake FIR apparently seems to benefit some personal intentions of the complainant
rather than rectifying the matter described in the FIR.
A destitute orphan who neither possesses a piece of agricultural land nor he is a
sharecropper, cannot dare even thinking of water theft not only in real life but also in his
dreams. It is evident that the complainant intends to pressurize the innocent victim to
gain ransom in lieu of withdrawing the FIR or he has personal enmity with the orphan or
he is aiding someone of his friends or relatives who has severe grudges against the
victim. The case is strongly demanding special attention of the concerned authorities.
Keeping in view my reservations, I would like to request the concerned authorities to
take strict action against the Canal Officer and the witnesses mentioned in the FIR
(Copy Attached), who have misused their lawful authority against an impecunious
orphan who even cannot bear a day arrest by the Police as the victim lives hand to mouth.
Moreover, the complainants ought to be directed to chain gigantic crocodiles
(Landlords) whom they allow water theft themselves and maintain relations.
