Overview

Trigger:

PIRs are the quantities allocated to TFs by TF Corporate planning cell to initiate the
Production/Procurement process. These numbers are used in MRP to calculate procurement and/or
production quantities for a material.

Business Process Description Overview

This document describes the procedure for creating, changing PIR.

Input – Required Fields Field Value/Comments

Plant Enter the number of the plant for which this w/c will
be valid.
Material no. Enter material no. for which PV needs to be created.

Output - Results Comments

PIR will be created. Enter all data precisely.

Procedural Steps for creating PIR

1.1. Access transaction by:

Via Menus Logistics>Production>Production planning> Demand
management> Planned independent requirement>Create-MD61

Via Transaction Code MD61

1.2. On screen “Create Planned Independent Requirement: initial screen”, first enter the
required data and then click enter icon .

1.3. On screen “Plnd Ind. Reqmt Create: Planning Table”, enter the requirement as shown in
below pasted screen shot.

Click on save icon as a result following message will appear on status bar.
