Competencies: Use different kinds of sentences in a dialogue (e.g., Code:


declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, imperative)

Sentence is a group of words with a complete thought.


There are four kinds of sentences:
1. A telling sentence tells something. It is declarative sentence and it
ends with a period (.).
2. An asking sentence asks a question. It is interrogative sentences
and it ends with a question mark (?).
3. A commanding sentence gives someone a command or an order to
do something. It is imperative sentence and it ends with a period
(.).
4. An exclaiming sentence gives a strong feeling or emotion. It is
called exclamatory sentence and it ends with exclamation point
(!).
