For this short story I’m gonna tell an anecdote of my life, this story is about the arrive to Colombia
of my cousin after three years of she live at the united states, so this happened because at the
first place she go out from Colombia to do an exchange program, her limit time to stay there was
2 years, she is a psychologist graduated from here, but at the same time she had to study and go
to a college or a university at the united states, so pass this two years she rent an apartment an
before a week of her flight , she told us that she have to stay another year because she will got
married, at that moment my whole family was disagree with her, on the other hand the decision
was from her.

Passed the year and after three years she came back with her husband, we are so excited so we
was preparing the great welcome back to home, she came back on December, so that day that she
traveled a Friday, so my family and I have to traveled early to Bogotá , me , my sister and my little
cousins a huge cartel with balloons and flowers to received her, so we hope for her at el dorado
airport, she came with her husband and at the first time we saw her , all we were crying of
happiness, the most excite thing it was that she will got married here too for celebrated with us

A day after that we traveled to tunja and we had to prepared the last things for the party of her
marriage, it was too cool and crazy because months before ,me, my sister and my cousin with her
husband made a surprise dance for her wending , and nobody knows except my mom, so we
made a dance to honor my grandparents at heaven, so we had to practice the choreography by
video call, so three days after we came , we made practice the choreography just like six times , it
was a little bit hard for him because the rhythm from Colombian people is different at the united
states, so we practice like six times and we just hope that the wedding day everything was perfect.

the wedding day was crazy, a night before we know that women's family had to wake up early
because the hairdresser guy had to brush and put make up on us, so Mathew her husband change
his clothes at my house , he was to nervous , the most amazing thing was that I can practice my
English with him , because he doesn’t know Spanish, so a night before he ask me for help with
his speech and with his pronunciation, then we went with him at the church, he was nervous but
everything was perfect, at the moment of the party and our surprise dance he used a "ruana" , and
we dressed like peasants, so everyone at the party was surprised , we danced every favorite song
of my grandparents.

After the wedding, my whole family rented a cabin with pool for pass new year’s day, it was really
cool to celebrate there, we ate, drunk and dance too much, and we teach him our culture, our
family. the a day before we leaved the cabin, my cousin and her husband invites us to go to a zoo
near there, and after that we went to a touristic park, we rode horses and do extreme sports, it

was awesome, and I think that is one of my best and happiness memories at now, well actually my
happiest moments are when she comes to Colombia.
