REPORT OUTLINE: Group: 8- Section-A

Topic: You head the HR department at Wipro. During the pandemic, they are having a
sudden increase in the number of remote teams. The CEO has asked you to prepare a report
on building trust on these teams to help them function effectively.
Type: Long Report
Objective: The report should contain the suggested measures that can be opted by our
organization to build trust on the remote teams. We have observed a considerable growth in
the number of remote teams due to the pandemic, in order to ensure the work is done
effectively and there is smooth flow of communication between and across the teams, our
department aims at looking for the measures to be initiated that will promote work efficiency
with coordination and cooperation and will also help the team members to understand each
other and by providing them a platform to interact and bond.
Method:

1.) To begin with, we will first understand the importance of trust and the role it plays in the
effective functioning of the remote teams.

2.) We will then focus on how important the trust factor is when teams are working from
remote locations and how will it promote their effective functioning.
3.) Followed by understanding the consequences of having mistrust and weaker bond
amongst the members of the team and how that can hamper their productivity.

4.) Our team will conduct a survey by rolling out a questionnaire to understand closely the
problems and the barriers teams are facing because of working from remote location.
5.) Based on the survey results, we will then start our research by referring to journals,
articles and by consulting OB personnel’s.
6.) Meanwhile, we can also find ways on how as an organization, we can build an office like
environment at home by providing employees with all the possible resources so that they can
feel connected to work with ease and accuracy.
7.) We will also research on several technology which helps organizations to connect the
remote teams in most effective manner.
This whole process will result in continuous development of employees and will also be
useful in building of mutual trust.
Remote connectivity is both a challenge and a priority for remote teams, and it will remain so
even after the current pandemic is over. The study is showing that remote contact is most
effective when teams collaborate to communicate in rapid-fire bursts, accompanied by
stretches of "deep work time" without interruption; When they share a wide variety of
information, and when they coordinate their schedules to interact synchronously rather than
asynchronously.
