1. Please be informed that the Division Online School-Based Management Validation for School
Year 2019-2020 will be conducted on the schedule presented below:
a. Validate the Self-Assessment of schools on their existing SBM practice focusing on D-O-
D Analysis (discussion, observation and document analysis) of the Four (4) Principles of
b. SBM namely: Leadership and Governance (30%), Curriculum and Learning (30%),
Accountability and Continuous Improvement (25%) and Resource Management (15%);
c. Integrate Quality Assurance Mechanism in ensuring that DepEd Policies are properly
implemented in the school level;
d. Provide technical assistance for the continuous improvement of schools.
a. Pre-validation
Prior the schedule of the school for the actual validation, the following must have been
accomplished:
i. Identification of MOVs (Means of Verification)
ii. Accomplishment and submission to the Division Office of the Self-Assessment Tool
iii. Uploading of MOVs in the SBM E-portal, per SBM Principle (the link of which will
be provided to the schools).
iv. Assigning venues for the actual online validation (1 room per principle is highly
recommended with strict compliance with safe and healthy protocols).
b. Validation Proper
i. School Heads, team members and stakeholders join the scheduled meeting (links
will be provided by the SBM Validator assigned per principle).
ii. A prayer will be led by the school representative.
iii. The School SBM team members and stakeholders will be introduced.
iv. An overview of the D-O-D process will be given by the SBM validator.
v. The school representatives will present their SBM Self-Assessment.
vi. The school representatives present their documents.
vii. The SBM validator discusses the validation findings, recommendations and best
features of the school.
